DESCRIPTION:Dean and his brother Doug shared a bedroom when they were kids. Every night mom would call up the stairs around 8 p.m. and say\, ‘hey boys it’s time to stop singing and go to sleep.’ The two brothers were a bit like the Baker Boys\, performing in local bars in Pullman\, Washington while both attending Washington State University. The duo was called “Back-to-Back.” Later in Seattle\, he formed a popular duo\, BACKHOLM/HALL\, with Patti Hall\, 2007 New Music Awards “Breakthrough Country Artist of the Year”. \nIn 2007\, Music and Media International (MMI) of Los Angeles signed a national publishing contract picking up all eleven tracks from his first CD “A Question for You”. In 2008\, “Mother and Child” was selected by the National March of Dimes for a debut fundraiser compilation CD called “Stork Tunes.” Artists on the project include Billy Joel\, Wynona\, Norah Jones\, Sinead O’Connor\, and others. Proceeds from the sale of the new CD will fund the nonprofit’s efforts to give every baby a healthy start in life. That same year\, “Turn Off the Moon\,” a co-write with Cheryl Ashton\, Cathy Serum and Richard Davis of Nashville\, was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition\, one of the largest contests in the industry. \nAt the Kauai Music Festival\, “Undeniable” and “Long Way Home” were honored as two of the seven best songs out of the more than two thousand entered in the conference songwriting contest. The video for “Long Way Home” took second place. \nThe Texas Songwriters’ Cruise is a respected songwriters’ gathering held each year in the Caribbean on a cruise ship. Hundreds of songwriters gather to perfect their craft and submit songs for judging. DESCRIPTION:Michael was born in Seattle for most of his life. After discovering a love for music at a young age in Hawaii\, he tried out a ukulele as a first instrument.  He took lessons and thought it was a great way to start playing.  Later\, he became mesmerized by guitar and wanted to start singing too.  Growing up he became a fan of rock and roll and country music as well as folk and bluegrass.  Michael has played guitar and bass and sang during with several bands that were formed with friends who also liked to sing and play. Playing in groups for live audiences evolved into opportunities to play with different bands around the Puget Sound area over the years. Michael has enjoyed playing in multiple bands\, the camaraderie of his friends\, equipment\, different instruments and singing lead and back-up vocals.  More recently\, he really enjoys playing acoustic guitar (with others or by myself) and singing acoustic versions of a mix of classic rock\, country\, blues\, pop\, folk and original songs. Michael believes live music is a great form of expression and emotional connection with others and often goes well with life’s celebrations\, social gatherings and special events.  Food and beverages along with live music make for a great experience! \nDuring music we will offer bottle specials. Writing songs is his go to creative outlet and gift to the world. \n\n \nDoug Rusk \nDoug Rusk is a singer-songwriter-guitarist-solo performer who lives in Woodinville. He’s written hundreds of songs and plays spot-on covers spanning the decades. Wherever he plays\, Doug gets a great reception\, including wineries\, pubs\, restaurants\, private events\, markets\, and rock stages. He also performs with his band “Covered in Moss” band when not doing solo shows. \nDoug has built a strong following and is now well-established in the local music community. He is known for his prolific songwriting and gets steady praise for his songs\, voice\, guitar playing\, and his overall performances. DESCRIPTION:Brian James is a Soulful/Country act\, \nBorn and raised on a farm in the small logging community of Montesano\, WA\, Brian is at home on the stage where his larger-than-life personality comes out with witty commentary and raw energy. \nFrom a young age Brian knew that he wanted to pursue music\, and in 2005 he moved to Nashville Tennessee where he wrote songs for the Surefire Music Company. In 2013 Brian formed the TSDC Music Group a publishing company where his songs were featured in car commercials for Cadillac and Dodge as well various tv and film placements. Today Brian lives in the Pacific Northwest where he performs regularly both covers and originals\, solo as well as with his band. DESCRIPTION:Mark Goldberg has been playing guitar\, keys\, and performing for some time now. Some of his credits include a stint in the El Camino College Jazz Band in which we played a festival in the town of Fullerton. He has played in several bands in the Los Angeles area before returning to his hometown of Seattle. He has since played on albums by Jason Trachtenburg\, The Conspiracy\, and Richard DeCuir and worked with Roger Fisher from Heart and Chris Ballew from the Presidents. He has also been involved with Tim Noah and the Thumbnail Theater and was in several productions that were put on there. He put out an album in 2001 of classical guitar music called “Landscapes” and has put together several albums of original pop-rock material. “Superstars\, “Viewpoints\,” and “Road To Testaments\,”. \n\nJeff Crookhall & Kimberly Dietz return as the Gypsy Newts. Formerly the leads of the Her etc. band\, Jeff and Kim will share their original works\, blending flavors of bluegrass\, folk\, jazz\, funk\, and rock. \n\nJerry Battista plays in multiple bands\, including legendary band The Davanos and has been out in the Seattle-area performing for many\, many years. It is a real treat to get to hear him perform solo\, in a small\, intimate setting. The Davanos were co-founded in 2003 by the incredibly talented duo of guitarist Jerry Battista and drummer Fred Holzman\, while bassist Greg Youtsey completes the trifecta. Battista played guitar for the seminal Seattle band The Allies in 1982-83. The Davanos play an awesome combination of classic rock\, blues\, country western along with some of their own originals. Battista\, Holzman and Youtsey are all exceptional vocalists and share both lead and backing vocals. Featuring incredible harmonies and outstanding musicianship\, The Davanos can always be counted on to put on a highly entertaining show whether you come to dance or just watch and listen. Voted Seattle’s Best Rock Band in 2018 by the Seattle Weekly\, The Davanos are one of the most talented and entertaining bands on the Seattle live music scene today! \n\nDoug Rusk is a singer-songwriter-guitarist-solo performer who lives in Woodinville. He’s written hundreds of songs and plays spot-on covers spanning the decades. Wherever he plays\, Doug gets a great reception\, including wineries\, pubs\, restaurants\, private events\, markets\, and rock stages. He also performs with a band when not doing solo shows. During the 2020 coronavirus shutdown Doug performed a weekly Facebook Live “Happy Hour Show” 60-90 minutes\, where he was getting 200+ views from a local audience. In May of 2020\, Doug put out 2 original songs/videos on YouTube within a week that both got 650+ views within several days of release. Doug has an unusual background for a professional musician. He was a highly successful swim coach from 1990 through 2021\, and only began performing music in public in 2013. At that time\, as Doug continued his career as a swimming Head Coach\, he started performing several nights a week at open mics and other music gigs. Doug has since built a strong following and is now well-established in the local music community. He is known for his prolific songwriting and gets steady praise for his songs\, his voice\, his guitar playing\, and his overall performances. In August of 2021 Doug retired from coaching to focus full time on writing and performing his music. \nDuring music only glass pours and bottle purchases. No wine tastings
